What a batch identifier does
A batch or lot identifier connects a physical material to records created for that production or analytical group. Good documentation makes it possible to distinguish one batch from another rather than treating every unit bearing the same product name as interchangeable on paper.

What we show in the catalogue
Aureon Research product pages show concise product information, current stock and pricing. Where batch or analytical documentation is available through the catalogue, the product page provides the link. We deliberately avoid treating the existence of a document as proof of characteristics that are not stated in that document.
Useful records for your own laboratory
For repeatable work, record enough information to recreate which material was used. Depending on the context, that can include the product name, supplier, batch or lot, date received, date opened, storage location, amount used, internal sample ID and the version of any analytical document reviewed.
